In ways Ive made records like this before but Ive never produced em at this level of quality when itboils down to storytelling and sonic shaping. Last summer was heavy, awful. I lost the love of my life. It got so bad that I had to leave California. I wentback to Texas to link w my day ones. Family, ya know? Ya boy had to slow things down and look in the mirror, and be a grown up. Cut the bitch stuffout. I was like, oh, ok. I AM 100% AT MY BEST when Im directing other artists; 2001 & The Chronic . Blush. When I went to jail over some bullshit outin Conroe, I realized how much I care about my work and my audience. And also how Ive taken so many things for granted for so long. Not only did Ifeel guilty, I felt small. I believe God finds their way into my thoughts more often than less &&& I know that I am beyond lucky to be able to have a shot at this thing. This career, this industry, this art-form. My life. Thanks. I care a lot. Im strong. I got us. BLUSH is the way. June 2025. P.S., I lovePeter but leaving Sony has helped me find my way back to being me. Because I am 17 again even though Im 28. 29 next month btw. Anyway, see yallin a week or so.
