Ronnie Laws is one of the most gifted saxophonists to emerge from the jazz-funk and soul-jazz crossover scene of the 1970s and 80s a player whose warm, fluid tone and instinctive groove made him a favourite on both the jazz and R&B circuits. Mr. Nice Guy, released in 1983 on Capitol, is a polished and soulful set that balances smooth jazz-funk grooves with Laws characteristic melodic sophistication. A solid addition to any jazz-funk or soul collection, this German original pressing is in excellent condition.
